So this isn't really in chronological order, but a friend of mine sent over some pictures of the fence which we painted for Randy Pausch on Sunday night. I never knew him personally; actually, none of us who painted the fence did, but we had all read the book and to say it was inspiring is an understatement. We chose to celebrate his success by memorializing his words on the fence, and I honestly couldn't think of something more appropriate. The front reads, "Your work is in our hearts" as a play on the CMU creed "Our heart is in the work." There are more photos of this on my friend's Flickr page, http://www.flickr.com/photos/il3lake/, so check it out or go there in person, either way it's pretty awesome. I'd also like to point out that we gave our best effort to committing to Bodoni, which in all honesty is a more convincing attempt in person.
